Strategic Financial Planning

Aaron Profile.png

The first pitch line of any business Coach or Consultant is that the work I’ll do will cover my expense plus whatever extra gains the business benefits from my participation.  And for that to be meaningful, it should be a decent multiple on your investment.  And, yes of course, that’s a given for me as well. I won’t work with a person or company that I believe will not benefit from my services.  I need to come away from an experience with you to be positive, one where I gave, not took from you or the company. There needs to be a meaningful gain for you.  That means it’s important for us to get on the same page right away through our initial meeting to understand how we would best collaborate, and that it makes sense.  And if it doesn’t, I’ll let you know up front what I think would be best suited for you to move forward.

So what makes me unique and able to help propel your business forward?  I’m analytical by training and inspired by experience.  I tend to view things from a dualistic perspective, both looking for the advantages and disadvantages of any strategy, weighing them based on my long history of business interactions and relationships to determine the best course of action.

Let me explain and give a brief history.  I attended the University of Michigan where I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.  This methodical style of training of the engineering field and the use of scientific methods to problem solve and derive conclusions based on analysis and observation is where my foundation of problem solving comes from.  And I used that engineering degree for almost 2 whole years before I realized it wasn’t my calling.  Ha.  You can be good at something, and it still not be your calling.  (But what it gave me was priceless in the long run and was an absolute necessity to my success in life and business.)

I yearned for more interaction, so what did I do?  I started a sales position, in the field of print marketing.  Talk about opposites.  That was more suited to my life and how I wanted to participate in the working world.  I got to interact with business owners in all sorts of industries watching how their company’s market and sell themselves. It was fascinating.  And soon I learned that all sales and all businesses are essentially problem solving entities. And that lead to my next transition, entrepreneurship.

What better way to merge those 2 attributes of myself than to combine them and start a business.  And I’ve spent the last 20 years self-employed.  First by co-founding and building the most highly regarded print marketing and visual communications marketing service in a major metropolitan area of 3.3 million people, and then having it be acquired by a larger company. I also participated in 2 other business ventures during that time that helped round out my entrepreneurial experiences.  And now I’ve spent the last 4 years helping small business leaders do just the same, grow into their potential.

My real strength is that I can help with every service I describe on this site.  Each section description individually may not seem like an overwhelming task, maybe you need to do a deep dive audit on your finances, or work to improve your internal operations, or reinvigorate your marketing efforts to grow revenue.  Each by itself may be manageable for you, if you have the time to do it.  My strength is not only that I can do each of these with excellence, but that I am always looking at the whole picture, not stuck in tunnel vision on one thing.  Meaning if I’m making an adjustment to one department, I usually have a clear idea of what’s going to happen in another as a result of any change we implement. This is my process and systems training, and it will work in spades for you, and... I have the testimonials to prove it.

Additionally, I dislike organizations that are run solely on authority, you need to have a healthy foundation of inspiration and purpose to get the best out of a collection of individuals that work seamlessly together for the betterment of their own lives and the progress of the company.  Both need to exist simultaneously, and while financial incentives are certainly a part of it, it’s not everything.  Bringing your workforce together so you can conquer your goals and realize your vision is what drives me and is my ultimate goal.  An inspired organization needs an inspired leader, and that's you!  So...
